Dr. Christine Wohlford DMD, MS

Dr. Christy earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2003. After spending a year in Boulder, she decided to start her journey to become a pediatric dentist. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2008, receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She immediately started her pediatric training at the Ohio State University/Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH – one of the top residencies in the country. She received her Masters of Science from the Ohio State University in 2010.
Dr. Christy moved back home to southern Illinois following her residency in the summer of 2010. She has been practicing pediatric dentistry full time since moving home and opened the doors of Southern Illinois Pediatric Dentistry in February of 2016. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Adam Snyder DMD, MS

Dr. Snyder earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology at Saint Louis University. In 2007, he graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
After serving as a general dentist and Chief Dental Officer at Family Care Health Center for two and a half years, Dr. Snyder decided to continue his education to earn advanced and specialized training in the specialty of pediatric dentistry at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. There he served as Chief Resident of Pediatric Dentistry during his second year of residency.
During his training, Dr. Snyder earned additional training in the field of pediatric dentistry including: behavior management, hospital dentistry and the treatment of pediatric dental patients under general anesthesia, oral sedation, dental trauma, comprehensive dental care for the pediatric patient, growth and development & interceptive orthodontics, and treatment of patients with special health care needs.
Dr. Snyder holds staff privileges at Alton Memorial Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Childrens Medical Center for the purpose of providing dental treatment under general anesthesia. In addition to private practice, Dr. Snyder holds academic appointments at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and University of Louisville School of Dentistry in the Pediatric Dentistry Departments.
Dr. Snyder is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Madison District Dental Society.

Dr. Austin LaMay DMD, MS
Education and Professional Associations
Dr. LaMay was born and raised in Rockford, IL. After high school, he moved south and attended college at SIU-Edwardsville where he met his wife Lacie LaMay. He continued his education at SIU by attending dental school in Alton, IL graduating in 2018 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and Magna Cum Laude honors. While attending, Dr. LaMay was chosen by his faculty as a distinguished member of his graduating class by nomination into Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Dr. LaMay moved to Chicago for his residency and specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry and UI Health Hospital and Health Systems. His residency focused on treating patients under general anesthesia, administering moderate oral conscious sedation, behavior management, child development and psychology, pulp therapy, orthodontics/growth & development, oral care for special health care needs patients/hospital dentistry, dental traumatology, and infant oral health. Dr. LaMay has certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists.
